Classroom Policies
Students may not eat food in class.
I may modify the eating policy for a student if there are extenuating circumstances surrounding the issue.
Students may not cheat on outside homework or in-class assignments.
Students who are caught cheating will receive a zero on the assignment and may require additional action by the school. Plagiarism is a form of cheating and will be punished in the same way. I, and the school, have a zero-tolerance policy toward cheating.
Students may complete extra credit assignments.
I may assign extra credit assignments to students, but it is the student's responsibility to ask for the assignment. Whether or not I assign extra credit is up to my own discretion.
Students who are absent from class must have an approved excuse.
The school and I require a signed absence slip for a student to be excused from missing class. If circumstances permit, the student must notify the teacher at least one day in advance. Students who miss class may make up homework assignments and quizzes or tests done in class, but they will not be able to make up for group work or activities they missed.
